Pedal drive kayaks are gaining popularity, especially among anglers, as they provide hands-free propulsion, allowing fishermen to cast and play a fish while on the move.
The Mako 12 from Riot features the popular Impulse Drive, a propeller system that enables paddlers to pedal both forwards and backwards, with direction controlled by a hand-operated rudder. The lightweight Impulse Drive can be easily removed and securely clipped to the bow when in shallow water.
Designed with convenience in mind, the Mako includes a comfortable seat that can slide back and forth on rails to accommodate paddlers of varying heights. At 12 feet, the Mako 12 is slightly larger than the Mako 10, making it better suited for heavier paddlers with a capacity of just over 210 kg, yet it weighs only 33 kg when the seat and drive are removed.
Despite its lightweight design, the Mako comes fully equipped with fishing accessories, including multiple gear tracks, flush-mounted rod holders, and a fully fitted anchor trolley on each side.
